EAC WINS CONTRACT AS GENERAL ENGINEERING CONSULTANT FOR
FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

EAC is excited to be part of this project with the Broward County Aviation Department,
which will involve all aspects of general engineering planning, design, studies and construction administration. Project scope includes elements of engineering work for the following:
• Renovations, rehabilitation, enhancements, new facilities, etc. (including utilities) at airside areas of the airport
• Renovations, enhancements, new facilities, etc. (including utilities) within landside areas of the airport
• Renovations, enhancements, new facilities, etc. (including utilities) for facilities other than the terminals
• Renovations, rehabilitation, enhancements, new facilities, replacements, etc. (including utilities) initiated and managed by the Airport Development Division.

As an Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer, Ramon has more than 16 years of experience in electrical engineering and has provided ITS engineering services as well as highway lighting and signalization to Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) and FDOT. Some of his more recent accomplishments include the management of Open Road Tolling deployments on SR-836 new toll facilities; construction project management for MDX’s system wide signage and lighting improvements and the deployment of an Advanced Traffic Management System along SR-112, SR-874, SR-878 and SR-924.

Chris has 20 years of experience in design, analysis, planning, development of specifications, and construction supervision of various types of transportation projects ranging from roadway to transit. He most recently served as Deputy Program Manager responsible for overseeing the development of Miami-Dade Transit’s (MDT’s) Orange Line Metrorail Extension Program. Prior to his MDT assignment he was the Deputy Project Manager and Construction Manager for the project management team for the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority’s Double Track Corridor Improvement Program, Segment 5 Project.

Errol is a transit and rail professional with over 21 years of experience in planning, engineering and construction tasks that include alternative analysis, railway systems planning, design, installation, testing, project management and contract administration for heavy rail, commuter railroad, light rail transit, bus, and high-speed rail systems in large transit programs nationally. Some of his transit experience includes MDT, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) and Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA).

With more than 10 years of engineering experience in transportation, Truong is EAC’s newest addition to the Orlando office and will lead our highway design efforts in the region. He has extensive highway design experience for local clients that include Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, OOCEA, FDOT Districts 1, 5, Lake County and Osceola County.
