PD&E Study for the N.W. 12 Ave. Bascule Bridge over the Miami River

EAC provided the engineering design services for the PD&E study for the historic N.W. 12 Ave Bascule Bridge over the Miami River. EAC provided: the navigational study for the channel in order to determine the clearance and ship impact requirements for the bascule span, the structural engineering services required for the fixed approach spans, a rehabilitation study and prepared the Section 4(f) document for the historic bridge and the adjacent historic sites. Various structural alternatives were investigated for the superstructure as well as the substructure in order to determine the structural system most suited for the proposed bridge.
