Acceler8 Program

South Florida Water Management District

EAC, as part of its general engineering consulting contract to the South Florida Water Management District, is currently providing services on the District’s Acceler8 Program (Management) initiative that serves as a major boost for the Everglades restoration plan. Through the Acceler8 program, the SFWMD is implementing the commitment of the federal/state/local authorities to revitalize the ecosystem by fast tracking eight restoration projects. The Acceler8 Program will allow restoration goals to be accomplished faster by having many of the restoration features be in the ground eleven years earlier than originally anticipated. EAC Consulting is providing Project Management support for the design and construction of these projects. EAC coordinates the work being done by other consultants with the USACE, SFWMD, and other agencies and stakeholders. Other services include: QA/QC reviews, writing Scopes of Work, and managing budgets and schedules.
