North Fork New River Improvements - Bank Stabilization and Erosion Control Design Services
South Florida Water Management District
As part of an effort to restore/revitalize the North Fork of the New River, SFWMD carried out a study of various bank stabilization options. It was determined that utilizing rip-rap with an in-situ reinforced concrete beam was the most preferable option. EAC assisted the District in implementing this option by providing the preliminary and final engineering report on bank stabilization and erosion control technologies and methodologies selected for the project area, technical support for permitting and a final report consolidating the conclusions and recommendations. EAC is also providing construction support services for this project.
